HOW TO PREAPRE FOR THESE TWO SECTIONS:
Take help from previous years paper of various other entrance exams like CLAT , SSC, CAT , CMAT, IBPS, NDA , NIFT ,NID AILET ,MAT,GMAT, XAT etc. ( you will find a bundle of questions that you can practice daily) . A constant regularity should be maintained for ENGLISH SECTION ;r ead editorials from Indian Express or The Hindu; make a notebook for difficult vocabulary and find their meaning everyday ; try solving error correction from various entrance exams mentioned above . To score in QUANTITATIVE SECTION first try clearing your doubts and take help of RD or RS Sharma of 9th and 10th standard, try Google Books or Pdf's of specific book. I hope this article might have helped motivate you with some of the good sources from where you can study efficiently this time . As I have already advised you and would say again start preparing and think about the result in form of a good college . If you have any further doubts or queries or need to know more sources or books do drop a comment or post another question and I will be delighted to help you out .
Greetings ,
Sameer I will say yes because I have seen many students who are average in studies but scored high when it comes to entrance exams because the very purpose of entrance exams are to check how much knowledge you have of a particular topic .
Even if we do not take these students into consideration we should never let things go like that we should at least try till our last breath .
You could have been an average student in your school but if you know the concepts then you can crack the questions which are basically in MCQ form .
A student might not be scored good in academics because of various subjects of his disinterest but in entrance exam you are been checked on the basis of knowledge you require for that particular field.
So if you have the passion of pursuing management studies so I would say you better give it a try otherwise 1st you will regret 2nd even after giving the exams you are not qualified you will have an experience , you will get to know the level of this paper , you will know where you need improvement etc.
You still have 2 months I will suggest that you should prepare for it because after your board exams you are anyway free and second think of the reward [to be a part of prestigious college] which will give you the motivation to work hard .
So if you look at the syllabus of IPMAT :
Section 1 : QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE , DATA INTERPRETATION , LOGICAL REASONING
[As you have not mentioned I am assuming that you took maths as one of your subjects. Subjects like PCM or PCB you are a commerce student then it would be easy for you to preapre for this exam in less time as you have just given your board exams so the concepts would be fresh in your mind ]
Hey, yes you can prepare for IPMAT after 12th even though you are an average student. The first thing you need is determination and focus, if you are ready to devote yourself to studying nothing can stop you. You will need to focus on grammar. Try to read passages and sentence construction. You will need a stop grip on grammar skills, and it only comes with practice. For the mathematics section focus on you 11th and 12th syllabus. Study all that is there, also refer to 10th syllabus if you have the time. Practicing in trying a calculate sums fast is advisable because you may face a shortage of time. I hope this helped.
Best wishes.
