IIT-JEE or JEE(Advanced) is one of the most prestigious and toughest exams in our country. Although, thousands of students crack it every year.
It won't be correct to say that being a SC candidate, it becomes easier to qualify in this exam but yes, you will get the reservation benefits. As per the last year cutoffs, you will have to score minimum 5% marks in each subject and at least 17.5% aggregate marks in your JEE(Advanced) paper to get admission in IITs.
The exam tests your in-depth understanding of the related concepts and time management skills.
You will have to devote enough time and efforts for it and dedicatedly work hard.
You will need to plan proper schedules, allot sufficient hours to each of the topics, learn and understand the NCERT basics + a level up concepts very well and practice papers as much as you can.
But yes, in order to be eligible to sit for JEE(Advanced), you will firstly have to qualify JEE(Mains). Obtaining 90th percentile and above usually ensures your selection.
So, it majorly depends on your preparation and performance.
Remember that it is a highly competitive exam. Aspirants during our school days used to start preparing for it right after matriculation. But nowadays, even 6th-7th standard children tend to build up their concepts with the ultimate focus at getting admission in top IITs. Thus, there is no other alternative to hardwork.
