Is it really important to select physics as my optional paper for upsc if I've graduated in it, cause I don't want to since I'm not so good at it?

Hello,

Look, you wouldn't want to take a chance with an optional course that has 500 marks since they may have an impact on your grade.

In response to the question, you can select whatever subject you choose as long as you are either skilled in it or are interested in it. Only your curiosity will ultimately be able to carry you through. Each and every mark will be crucial in this war of markings. Nobody is going to question you about why you didn't select your graduation subject. Many students pick their elective courses each year based on personal preference rather than academic merit.

So simply calm and choose a subject that you are knowledgeable in.

Good Luck!!
