Admission to the colleges are done through the state govt counseling schedule with the following guidelines :

• 65% of the seats (50 % of seats in case of minority institutions) is earmarked as Govt quota seats
• and the remaining 35 % ( or 50 % as applicable) is for the management quota.

As like admissions for the Govt Medical colleges, till 2016, the admissions for both type of seats are based on 12th board marks.  While the Govt quota seats are filled through counseling, the management quota seats are left to the college/management authorities.
