Is it true that eligibility criteria of 12th marks (50% UR and 40%R in pcb) for appearing NEETUG is same as eligibility criteria of 12th marks for getting admission in MBBS except for AIIMS and AFMC which have eligibility criteria of 60% UR and 50% R in pcbe?

Following is the eligibility criteria for NEET UG-

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects from a recognized board.

Class 12 or equivalent appearing aspirants are also eligible to apply for NEET.

The class 12 percentage required for NEET 2023 exam is separate for each category and can be listed as under. NEET eligibility marks in class 12 to be considered are aggregate marks only for PCB subjects

UR - 50%,
-
OBC/SC/ST - 40%,
-
PWD - 45%
The eligibility criteria for AFMC, Pune is given below-
- Candidate must have passed all the subjects opted for in the first attempt of the qualifying examinations as a regular candidate with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken simultaneously and securing not less than 60% of the aggregate marks in these 3 science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the 10th standard.
- Must have attained the age of 17 years on 31st Dec of the year of application, but must not have attained the age of 22 years on that date (Not more than 24 years in case of candidates who have passed or are appearing in final BSc examinations).
The eligibility criteria for AIIMS are given below-
For General and OBC aspirants – 60% aggregate
For SC and ST candidates – 50% aggregate
For PwD candidates - 45% aggregate (Earlier it was 50%)
