is it true that this year 50% seats of private Medical colleges will be under government i.e fees of those seats will be regulated by government ?
There are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Based on the State you belong to, the ratio of these seats is 40:50:10 or 30:60:10, so on and so forth. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats. The fees is here is around 5-10 lakhs. After GMC seats, the Government Quota seats are filled based on your NEET score. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that.
Cattiogary A which you mentioned (government quota seats) I think they were not there in 2019.Are they added this year?
