LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval. LPU students got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio Seed, Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more.

The package really depends on what he can show to the recruiters that, how much he is worth or deserved. There were some students who cracked the placement and got offered 1 crore LPA, while many failed to do so.On an average the Agriculture students of LPU is offered and placed in the starting package of 5 .5 TO 6 LPA(Fixed salary) while there may be cases of students getting less than that or more than that.Like I said, LPU will provide you the platform and the opportunity, but it is really you who have to go and perform on the platform being provided.

Hi Jaswant, Lovely Professional University is the first private university to be accredited by Indian Council of Agricultural Research. As far as the programme is concerned, the LPU agriculture programme is designed with a target of holistic development of students.

School of Agriculture offers programs with up-to -date curriculum designed to suit the aspirations of agricultural industries as well as major research and development sectors. The laboratories of the School are world class. The dedicated faculty gives the students a hands -on training experience by assigning live projects (Agricultural work) in university agricultural research farms and experiential learning on different agricultural units. It includes disciplines like Agronomy, Horticulture Genetics and Plant Breeding, Soil Science, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Economics, Extension, etc. The major emphasis of the program is to get the students acquainted with knowledge and hands-on experiences in the above mentioned discipline and apply that knowledge to high value agricultural production in a sustainable manner.

The minimum age required for enrolling in the programme is 16yrs. Merit in qualifying examination LPUNEST, subject to eligibility criteria.

Students are engaged towards evergreen agriculture, keeping in view the RAWE programme to build interpersonal skills. Some of the popular Job roles in this domain: Plantation Manager Officer in Quality Assurance in Related Fields, Subject Matter Specialist in different Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs)Farm Manager Research Officer, Agriculture Loan Officer in Banks, Biochemist, Food Scientist, environmental Engineer, Agricultural Lawyer, Agricultural Operations Manager, Animal Geneticist, Agronomy Sales Manager etc. The highest package offered was 19.25 lpa.

HOSTELS

The hostels of LPU are most comfortable and damn strict. There is no compromise when it comes to the security of the students. LPU residential facilities are as state of the art as the campus is. There is round-the-clock vigil through security cameras and there is a huge army of security personnel deployed all over the university.

LPU has a hostel from 1 seater to 6 Seater including the Ac and Non AC. To maintain cleanliness, rooms are cleaned about 23 times per week.  The room has an Air Conditioner, attached washroom, and Geyser in each room. Wooden Box Bed, Study Table, Chair and Almirah. Students have to seek permission to use electrical gadgets having maximum load upto 5 ampere per apartment. One and two Seater apartments have attached lobby and kitchenette.

There is an electricity backup and water supply. In addition to it, staff assistance and medical service (Medicines and tests On Payment). Study Room, TV Room, Lift Facility, Fire Fighting System, Purified Water Facility, Maintenance Services, Wi-Fi Service, Free Electricity Units (As Applicable). There is 24 Hrs. electricity backup Water Supply, and services available.

There are mess services, laundry services, dedicated parking, departmental store, cafeteria, saloon for boys, printing and copier machines, shops in all hostels, Guest Rooms, Car Wash Facility, Shopping Mall and Tuck Shops.

From ala carte to regional mess, the LPU hostel has all. It has North Indian, South Indian, Rajasthani and many other regional messes. A student can choose the food as per his or her taste. The quality of food is good. Parathas, Butter, Curd, Milk, Tea is served at breakfast. In lunch Dry Vegetables, Dal, any Gravy item, Rice, Chapati and Raita are served. The dinner Chapati, Seasonal Vegetables, Rice and Desserts.

The campus is ragging-free, drug-free and tobacco-free. If someone has a problem in connection with the residential facilities room, one can lodge a complaint. The hostel management looks into the matter and resolves it at the earliest.

The female guards are deployed in the girls' hostels. There are female security guards who look after the security of the girl's hostel. The campus is ragging-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free so there is no need to fear. The Girls who want to study in the Central library at night are allotted 2 hrs. of time and are accompanied by guards to the library and back from the library to their respective hostels.

Girls are not allowed to roam around the hostel till late at night. No outsiders are allowed. Even the parents have to get a GATE pass to enter the university premises. Strict disciplinary actions are taken against those who indulge in indiscipline. This does give a feeling of prison as the students say in jest but it's for their safety. This is the reason why we don't come across any untoward incidents.
