Dear Harsha,

Hope you and your family doing well in this pandemic situation.

Coming to the query, yaa it is worth as a mechanical engineer nearly 60 percent of students are recruited in top companies like tvs, ashok leyland and caterpillar.

The highest package is 12.5 per annum and lowest package is 4.5lakh per annum as a mechanical engineering it was good at starting if the career.

The faculty are very supportive and interactive with us  to do anything. There are so many labs and equipments and as a mechanical student we must have a good practical knowledge.

Hope this information is helpful to your bright future.

Sastra is an average college for mechanical engineering. It has 300+ students  enrolled in mechanical branch, among them only 15 - 20 are getting placed in core companies each year. So, the placement scenario is less than 10% . It has clubs like BAJA and SAE and students take part in these competitions each year.

Suggestion: Choose a college after getting all the information about it.

Hi aspirant,

If you are willing to pursue mechanical engineering then Sastra University is a good option. There are a number of labs in the mechanical department and the faculty too is really good . The placement is also good with the average package being 6 lakh per annum approximately. BAJA, SAE are some club who do good extra- curricular job. But if you have better option like IITs and NITs( top ones) then go for that.

Hope it helps you.

Hey!

Well, the answer is yes as some of its facilities are best than some of the NITs. Also, college provides good faculty members for the mechanical department who are quite knowledgeable and experienced. Also, it provides internship opportunities for students. Placements for mechanical engineering are also good in same and average salary package is aeuiund 4-5 lakhs per annum in different companies like ashok Leyland etc.

Hope I answered your query

Thank you
