HI,
Make a plan. Which one that is according to your convenience and works to an positive extent. Make it keeping these points into account.
- You would be able to cover up (more or less) the courses for both 1st year and 2nd year before march 2019.
- Based on priority level. Priority to give which one more time and which one less. But do cover all the topics more or less.
- Mix up difficult ones with easier ones and vice versa.
- Do not waste time on the books which are not useful. Here is a general book preference that I usually mention. If you are doing some kind of coaching material then that is fine, otherwise In Physics, Concepts of Physics By H.C.Verma, Arihant text series of D.C.Pandey. are the best. For chemistry R.C.Mukharjee for Physical, NCERT for Inorganic and Arihant for organic (physical and inorganic also) are pretty nice books to follow. For mathematics New pattern IIT-JEE is the best one. Please make sure that you do practice from these books. Merely following the books will not serve the purpose. Irrespective of you go to a coaching or not must do the previous year IIT-JEE paper. Books for that are also available.
-
Complete each question you encounter no matter how much trivial or difficult.
- In college do not worry about CGPA and all that. Try to bunk classes (not required) as possible so that you can prepare in that time as well
- Do not waste time on college stuffs which are not necessary.
- If you go to coaching okay else if you do not go to a coaching fine but do give a test series of any institute . By giving these you will actually know about question pattern and gain experience for giving objective kind of test and also you will be able to measure your standard as per other student so that you can change yourself better to crack the exam.
- In the exam make sure you attempt question in proper manner. Because it is meaning less to prepare well for the exam and do not give the exam properly. Make a down to top approach. Find out the easiest of them. It is not necessarily that it should be from your favourite chapter. Do the problems according the level of ease. Attempt those about which you are sure. Never ever stuck on a single problem. Be clear about the think which are asked in question. Do not answer arbitrarily. Negative markings will make your score go down. Stay focused. Because These are the hours for which you have prepared a lot.
- For mathematics understanding things from basics and more and more practice. For physics basics along with skill to apply those basics into problems. Inorganic part you have to mug up many of it keeping other things aside.
- Do not waste much time on other things such as things out of syllabus
- Never ever lose hope or lose consistency in preparation even if you are not good at some point of your preparation.
- Have the confidence you can crack it and start studying.
-
Keep your fundamentals always clear.
- Practice as much as you can. The more you get the clear picture of the concepts involved.
- Discuss with friends. It helps a lot.
- Remember if your input of study is 4 hours output must be 4 hours
- Deactivate your fb, google+, etc account and try to use internet as less as possible. ie. do not use it unless you badly need it.Best of luck for your preparation. Thanks...!!
So best of luck in whatever path you may choose.
But i will suggest you to take drop and prepare well with full motivations and hardwork it will definitely lend you more marks than you would be scoring with btech first year.
