Hello Udit,
Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology and Management (known as Northern India Engineering College) is a decent college in terms of:
Placements : The placements in this college are average as companies visit in this college is less as it is affiliated to GGSIPU. So, you can get various off-campus jobs on the basis of your talent. The college itself does not give many opportunities to increase your CV for placements.
Infrastructure : The infrastructure of this college is very good. We have the different blocks for different courses and branches. It has a good ground and classrooms but lacks the infrastructure of the canteen. The canteen of this college is very small and also the food is not very tasty, it's average according to me. All the other things are good.
Faculty : The faculty members of the college are quite good but not very great. All the faculty members are not very helpful and cooperative. Labs also are not up to the mark. Some faculty members are good and work strictly according to the syllabus, but some leave it to the students to study the chapter or a topic ourselves
The first company that came was Infosys, 650 students appeared for their placement test out of which around 200 selected for the interview. Out of those 111 were placed in Infosys at a package of 3.25 lpa.
Then no big company .
A gaming company came which probably recruited 2–3 students at a package of around 2.5lpa.
Then came Audi, wait! Don't get excited. They offered a package of 2.5lpa to mechanical engineers and probably they offered sales and marketing jobs. Then no other company came for the core branches like civil and mechanical. Their placement procedure ended here.
Electrical students were a bit lucky that an electrical company came which offered around 3 lpa package and recruited some students
Now if you think that cs and students would have been placed, let me clear that myth.A few cs and it very small companies came which recruited less than 25% of them at package less than 3 lpa.
However only the college administration is not responsible for this situation. There is lack of environment in which students explore new things, try to implement their theoretical knowledge. There is lack of exposure which students can use to do any other thing than getting good marks in university exams.
Hope you find it helpful
let me know in the comment box if you are having any further doubts
thanks
Good Luck!

Northern India Engineering College,New Delhi is average for Computer Science Engineering. The faculty is average and the infrastructure is just fine. The ambience is quite stuffy in the way that you will not get much to learn. The placement cell is not that active and you cannot expect more than 5-6 lacs package for Computer Science Engineering. For other branches the condition is even worse. So,you should meet the students studying over there and talk to them about their experiences and then take any decision.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
