JEE Advanced is an entrance exam required for admission in various IITs and other prestigious institutions. The basic criteria to become a data analyst is to have a bachelors degree ( preferably in engineering ) mostly in Information Technology or Computer Science. It is a fact that IITs and NITs have huge placements and wonderful learning facilities. But there are a lot of good colleges from where you can pursue your degree and also a clear understanding in data structure and functions.

So, JEE Advanced is not a necessity for any profession. Once you have the mind to work hard and learn, any opportunity can be yours. Always do a lot of internships and projects in data analytics as you study. This will help you gain more experience.
