There are various engineering institutes in Tamil Nadu which will conduct their own entrance exam as well there are some other as well which will intake the students based upon the merit as well. So based upon their own entrance exam or based upon the JEE mains rank their will intake the candidate's.

The JEE Mains is not mandatory for all the colleges in Tamil Nadu

There are the colleges inwhich other than JEE mains also accepted

Mainly it depends upon the colleges
