Jawaharlal Nehru University’s newly announced School of Management and entrepreneur will give admissions based on CAT scores. Jawaharlal Nehru University joins the CAT(2018) conducted by IIMs, for admission in School of Management and Entrepreneurship in JNU starting from July 2019 session. Next year, JNU will be a new entrant to the list of Non -IIMs which would be accepting CAT scores for admission in their MBA programme.
JNU MBA Admission 2019 - Eligibility Criteria [1]
The candidates must have the below detailed qualifications to be eligible to apply for the JNU MBA Admission 2019:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized University incorporated by State or Centre, or any other educational Institute that has been deemed as a university (under section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956) or set up by an act of Parliament. You could even qualify by holding an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD), Government of India. However, please note the Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent qualification should be of minimum 3 years’ duration after completing 10+2.
- The students applying under the general category should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate during the graduation or should have obtained an equivalent CGPA in the concerned degree program.
- The students applying under the OBC quota get a relaxation of 5% and hence should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate during the graduation or should have obtained an equivalent CGPA in the concerned degree program.
- The students applying under the PWD/SC/ST quota get a further relaxation of 10% marks and hence should have scored a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate during the graduation or should have obtained an equivalent CGPA in the concerned degree program.
- Students appearing in their Bachelor Degree’s or equivalent’s final year examination or the ones who have given the final year exam but are waiting for the results, are also eligible to apply. However, all such candidates will need to submit a pertinent certificate by a specific date intimated by the University, to be able to provisionally join the program.

For general category and OBC applicants - ₹ 2000

The good news is that Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has started the application/ admission process for its MBA programme for the academic year 2019-21. The programme is offered by the Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management & Entrepreneurship (ABVSME) of the University. Those candidates who have given CAT 2018 can apply to this program as the university is accepting CAT scores along with the interview process.
