is job post of railway ntpc good to apply for students graduated in science? is msc necessary? what is pattern and process?
Hello,
First of all the recruitment of RRB NTPC is done for various posts but majorly it's either based on 12th passed educational qualifications as in case of Junior Clerk cum Typist/Accounts Clerk cum Typist/Junior Time Keeper/Trains Clerk/Commercial cum Ticket Clerk or it can be based on graduation such as Traffic Assistant/Goods Guard/Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk/Senior Clerk cum Typist/Junior Account Assistant cum Typist/Senior Time Keeper/Commercial Apprentice/Station Master, now coming to your question MSc isn't necessary for applying for any of the aforementioned posts, when it comes to the selection process there are two computer based test in stage 1 and 2 followed by typing test or skill test or aptitude test, document verification,
first stage CBT is for 90 minutes carrying 100 MCQs from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning for 100 marks, however there is negative marking scheme, for each incorrect answer one-third mark is deduced,
second stage CBT is also conducted for 90 minutes however there are 120 MCQs from rom General Questions Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning
Today there are still many aspirant who wish to appear for government exams, and qualify the same, and getting a job in railway is indeed a big financial security, and that's the prime reason people opt for these, now whether you should apply or not is dependent on you, you must be well acquainted with the job profiles of the aforementioned posts, if you feel comfortable doing that, then you should go ahead and apply for the same, your decision should be entirely yours, not because of anyone else's, because it's your life, and your career should be aligned with your preference, however if you feel there are other options as you mentioned about MSc, hence you can also go for higher studies, and further pursue UGC NET for JRF or lectureship, or there are state level SETs conducted for the recruitment of assistant professor which you can try for, and in case of teaching at school BEd is compulsory, other than NTPC of Railways, there are UPSC, state PSCs, SSC, banking, insurance to name a few which you can also appear for based on the eligibility criteria of graduation.
