I would advise you not to go Kakatiya University.

Ku students have been complaining about the poor curriculum structure , lack of labs , teachers etc.

The exams are messed up too , plus there are alot of unnecessary holidays.

So chose a different alternative.

No college is good or bad and so do kakatiya university. Is a very reputated college but the problem comes with the mechanical placement as the placement are not so good. But the placement also depends upon you as onky smart working students get placement and if you will perform well then you will also get placed.

Hey! Kakatiya University, a public university located in Warangal, Telangana which was established in 1976. Kakatiya University offers various UG and PG programmes under the faculties of arts, science, commerce and social sciences, education, technology, business management, engineering and pharmaceutical sciences. It also offers admission through distance education in various UG and PG courses.  It has decent records but has good faculty if we talk about mechanical department. So you can keep this college in your list.

I wouldn't rate them as bad nor good they can be said average with decent placements. They have ratings of 7.5/10 on various sites, the biggest issue is with the curriculum. However in the warangal are this college is pretty well know for it's faculty. As for mechanical branch i was unable to find it's reviews but from the overall ratings, I will say it should be decent.
