Hello aspirant,
The use a particular equipment or any electronic device may it be anroid phone or laptop depends a lot on the branch that are you opting to study. If it is computer science it will definitely need a laptop for work but if it is mechanical or civil there is lesser use of such electronic systems in the first year. You may decide after well now.
