Is law and accounting both important to become income tax officer?

Being a CA or accounting had s little relevance in the aim of becoming ITO.

You need to give UPSC and qualify all the three rounds. Only completing CA won't help you to become an IR officer. But if you join UPSC after CA it doesn't remain tough.

Ty Bt If I opt bcom llb and then give upsc exam can I become income tax officer then?
