Hello.
Being graduated in law opens door for several legal professions like judiciary, advocacy etc. Coming to your question, though legal advisor as well as lawyer both are considered to have enough knowledge of law yet they both differ as profession.
Lawyer or advocate is one who plead cases in court in order to defend or prosecute a party. While legal advisor is the one who merely gives legal advice as to any act done by person to whom such advice is offered.
For practicing as lawyer, court visits become an essential part of your job while court visits are not daily in case of a legal advisor. He may simply be appointed by a big firm or company and give several legal advices to them before they execute any act.
Thus yes they are two different professions.
Lawyer always works at the side of his client trying to attract law to their side, legal advisor will be always trying to attract his client to the side of law so he/she awares the clients to do things in legal ways.
Hope this helps!!!
Yes, these are different jobs. Every lawyer is a legal advisor whereas not evey legal advisor is a lawyer. For example, being a lawyer shall mean that you plead cases before courts, wheres being a legal advisor shall not include pleading before the courts.
