Hello,

Data science and machine learning are both very popular buzzwords today. These two terms are often thrown around together but should not be mistaken for synonyms. Althoughdata science includes machine learning, it is a vast field with many different tools.

If you are doing the Diploma in Data Science, then you will get some basic exposure to the field of Machine learning but in general it won't be that detailed which you can expect from the courses such as BSc Data Science/MSc Data Science.

Data Science is a field about processes and systems to extract data from structured and semi-structured data.

Machine Learning is a field of study that gives computers the capability to learn without being explicitly programmed

So yeah! you will get some flavor of Machine learning in the Diploma in Data Science course but its not in very details.

Good morning dear,
Yes, Machine learning is included in data science. Data science is a broad word that encompasses a variety of subjects. Regression and guided clustering are two approaches used in machine learning. Data in data science, on the other hand, may or may not come from a machine or a mechanical process.

Machine Learning essentially automates the process of data analysis and provides real-time data-driven predictions without the need for human interaction. A Data Model is created and trained automatically to produce real-time predictions. In the Data Science Lifecycle, this is where Machine Learning Algorithms are applied.

Hope you got your answer.
