Yes. Math is compulsory in class 12 for BA Honours in DU as well as Private candidate also.
The eligibility criteria for admission to BA (Hons) Economics in Delhi University is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with minimum 45% aggregate marks in 10+2. The admission is on basis of marks scored in Class 12th in best four subjects. The criteria for best four subjects is as follows

The candidate must include one language and three best academic/elective subjects.

The candidate must have studied and passed Mathematics at the qualifying exam for admission to B.A. (Honours) in Economics.
So, it is not mandatory to include marks scored in Mathematics you can include any other subject with better score but it is mandatory that you must have studied and passed in Mathematics in 10+2 level.
