The answer depends upon ones calibre. If you get admission to the top notch IIM such as IIM Ahmedabad , IIM Bangalore or IIM Calcutta , then you will get an ample amount of opportunity, and exposure to kickstart your career. But, if you get admission to the new generation IIM such as IIM Bodh Gaya , IIM Sirmaur, IIM Sambalpur, etc. then, you must take advantage of every possible opportunity whether in academics, or extracurricular activities. IIM will give you a brand, but in the end, it all depends upon ones area of interest and talent.
