Yes, MPSTME Mumbai campus is approved by AICTE now .
AICTE approval indicates: It is concerned with approval of a college and programs based on compliance to minimum requirements of:
- Land
- Classrooms, tutorial rooms, laboratories and equipments including computers, internet facility
- Number of books in the library: titles and volumes, journals, magazines
- Faculty cadre ratio, number designation wise
- Facilities like water purifiers, boy’s and girl’s common rooms, fire safety, doctor on call, canteen
- Governance by standard bodies
- Committees in the college
- Website , notice boards
- Hostel
The above stated requirements do not take the quality aspect into account which can be known from a college accreditation provided by NBA/ NAAC.
So according to me if you are focusing on quality of education offered by the college, then the question you can ask is:
- Are MPSTME programs accredited by NBA? : Yes, Several and others are in process.
- Is NMIMS University approved by NAAC? ;l Yes, 3.59 out of 4
- Does NMIMS have tier I status given by UGC this 2018? : Yes, NMIMS is among he few private Univeristies who has been awarded Tier I status by UGC.
