is MD in emergency medicine and MD general medicine two different courses?

Hi Siddhika,

Yes, MD in Emergency Medicine and MD in General Medicine are two different courses. Although it is true that the course knowledge of the two is almost similar, the job of an MD Emergency Medicine doctor is much more delicate. Their job is stabilize the patient which is in critical condition and bring them to a state where the General Medicine doctors can take over and start treating the patient with the required care.
