Hello Hari Krishnan,
Mechatronics is considered to be a combination of mechanical and Electronics, but assuming to the scope which you have refered about is nothing but placements or job oppurtunities, employers will mostly look for a pure mechanical student or a pure electronics student since they will have an in depth knowledge compared to a mechatronics engineer. On the other hand the same job which can be done by 2 engineers that is Mechanical and Electronics can be done by one Mechatronics engineer provided your knowledge of both the streams is extemely good.
Therefore please do research about this stream and do strenghten your basics for a good job oppurtunities
hope it helps
thank you
dear student
The field of mechatronics is very promising, when it comes to job opportunities. Mechatronics is a combination of various fields of engineering. Due to this very fact, the field of mechatronics has wide areas of applications!
Due to availability of large number of areas of applications, mechatronics graduates have large number of job types to choose from! It is safe to say that mechatronics graduates are very versatile. They are capable of taking up jobs from more than one engineering branch! With further specialization, through PG courses, they may choose a particular discipline and specialize in it! Some such areas of specialization are- Robotics, Biomechatronics, Nanotechnology and Programming.
hope this helps
All the best!!!
