Here is the eligibility criteria of Coal India Limited Exam is as follows:
- The candidates must have completed their degree of minimum qualification or should have appeared or should be appearing in their final year or semester or trimester and must pass out in the year before the exam. For instance, if the exam is in 2020, the candidate must be appearing for the exam or must have graduated in 2019.
- The candidates must have passed all subjects of the exam whichever is applicable in the year 2019-20.
Here are the subjects which are necessary for various disciplines and the qualification for them.
- For mining engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and civil engineering , the educational qualification required is a B.E., B.Tech., AMIE or B.Sc. (Engg.) which a minimum of 60% in the relevant subject.
- System/ IT - B.E., B.Tech. or B.Sc. (Engg.) in Computer Science or Computer engineering or IT or Masters in Computer Applications with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Coal Preparation- B.E., B.Tech. or B.Sc. (Engg.) in Chemical or Mineral Engineering with 60% marks.
- Material Management- B.E./ B.Tech. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 2-year MBA degree or post-graduate diploma in Management with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Finance and Accounts- Qualified CA/ ICWA
- Marketing and Sales- Degree of 2-year MBA degree or post-graduate diploma in Management with a Marketing (Major) from a recognised Institute or University with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Personnel or HR- Full time PG degree or diploma or program in Management with specialisation in HR from a recognised Indian University with 60% marks minimum.
- Community Development- Minimum two year PG degree or diploma of two-year duration in Community Development/Rural Development/Community Organisation and Development Practice/ Urban and Rural Community Development/ Rural and Tribal Development/ Development Management/ Rural Management with 60 marks OR Minimum 2-year full-time post-graduate degree with social work with specialisation - Community Development/Rural Development/Community Organisation and Development Practice/ Urban and Rural Community Development/ Rural and Tribal Development/ Development Management/ Rural Management with minimum 60% marks.

GATE applicants are eligible to apply for Coal India Limited Recruitment. The selection of candidates is based on GATE 2020 score, written test and personal interview. GATE 2020 is scheduled for February 1, 2, 8 and 9, 2020 in computer-based mode.
To attend GATE exam, the candidate must be a engineering graduate of any branch (can be a mechatronics student also).
