B Tech Mechatronics is an Engineering programme that seamlessly articulates the concepts from basic science to technology with relevant practice through lab and projects for building problem-solving skills.
THe eligibility for the program is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with Physics, Mathematics, and English) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST.
The course intends to instil knowledge in the areas of Robotics, Professional Enhancement. In addition to core curricula, the course offers subjects like communication, analytical and soft skills to enhance personality and employability, industry Immersion Training, projects, and guest lectures collaborated with industries help to learn from real-life situations, Projects Seminar and Project driven courses are designed to enhance technical and presentation skills and develop teamwork capabilities
The program offers interdisciplinary Minors Elective to develop expertise in the interdisciplinary areas of interest for example Management, ECE, and CSE/IT. The Pathways have been designed to provide a choice to develop expertise in the area of industry-relevant career perspective as Design engineer, Maintenance engineer, Thermal Engineer, Production and Industrial engineer.
The university encourages students to have maximum industrial exposure through visits for problem identification and proposing solutions. The curriculum is equipped with 21st-century digital technologies to make students industry-ready. The Industrial Input Curriculum of the course is competent to impart skills as per feedback provided by premier organisations of industry and academia. For holistic development the students are encouraged to participate in technical events, sports, and cultural activities.
The highest package at LPU is 46 LPA and the average package is 5.2 LPA .
Mechatronic i.e. Technology combining electronics and mechanical engineering is one of the fast growing engineering branch nowadays and scope is far better in comparison. As this branch is still new on the process , newly added Mechatronics in LPU has vast and bright future ahead. Though at present , we don't have that amount of placement percentage as compared to CSE and ECE but till the time you gonna pass out from LPU , at that time there is a fare chance of having more companies for placement in Mechatronics and moreover as all say “ if you have the capability , no one can stop you”. Wish you a very bright future ahead.
LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible students to secure good placement. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. But as far as mechatronic engineering is concerned, the batch started last year only, so the placement record is under construction for this stream. But LPU assures the placement of all its deserving candidates and would strive high when time would come for the placements of its mechatronic engineering students.
