Is msc photonics good at cusat(, kochi) ???? Is there any scope for it ??

Msc photonics is a good course at CUSAT .. Photonics is a high-tech subject which has evolved during the past two decades as a result of the fusion of optical technology with electronics. The subject has been hailed as the science and technology for the next millennium. Photonics has made its impact in various areas like communications, computing and control as well as in fields such as medicine, industry, defence and entertainment. Cochin University of Science and Technology is one of the first few Universities /institutions in the country where due importance has been given to research, development and teaching activities in photonics and related areas.
CUSATians are placed in good companies like Varroc, HELLA, etc. If you are worried about Job just contact your seniors and they will help you out. Most of the people try for PhD rather than job and there are many CUSATians doing PhD outside India and excelling in the field of Photonics.
