let me infrom you that chemical engineering has been on the course list of NIT Rourkela for a quiet long time and the faculty is queit remarkable as reviewed but the placement parameter is average on the scale.

so it can be an average option you can go for if you dont have chnaces but if you have time left in hand go for other colleges like IET and such as the branch has quiet good scopes.
