Is NCERT books are enough to face NEET 2018 biology?

NCERT is important because a majority of questions will be asked from NCERT textbooks itself. So ensure that you read the textbooks well.

After that you must consider following a good reference book for MCQs. This is will help you evaluate how well you've read the textbook.

Absolutely it's enough if you read it and revise it over and over but accompany it with solving MCQs from whatever book that you like and give lots and lots of mock exams.

Hii ,NCERT textbook are indeed enough to get good marks in NEET UG biology..almost all the questions that are being asked in the neet are directly from  the text  book...So if u know ur textbook line by line ,it will be a sure shot marks in biology...But for other subjects like physics and chemistry u will need the help of good  guides like arihant or pradeeps....Hope this helps u...all the best!!

Yes absolutely. Thoroughly reading and practicing mcqs should suffice.

Once you start practicing mcqs, you will realise that some information is new and not mentioned in NCERT. You can make a note of that and proceed. This is the best technique to score good in biology.

Hello Balakrishna, As per your query i would like to tell you NCERT is most important but remember NCERT is not sufficient..



Because the paper is made by cbse and their syllabus is NCERT .



But some questions Come other than the NCERT .



So to conclude do NCERT at its core but read little bit extra while doing questions and revision.





prefer a few other books to help u with questions.

Offcourse YES.. caz there is no limit For Reference book..suppose You stated reading Aakash Pakage nd Your friend start Reading Allen pakage.So now ques arise Which pakage is better for neet.Same goes with many reference book like Trumens etc.So dont waste your time on reference nd Read only nd only ncert.previous year ques is also very imp.if you match 2014, 2015,2016,2017 neet ques with ncert you will see out of 90,75+ is directly from ncert. and other 10+ ques is from previous years or basic common ques.

NCERT is enough for NEET. But if you want to fetch good marks and good seat in a better Medical college, try to read other books also.



You can also give mocks and go through previous year questions. This will help you in assessing your preparation.
