Akanksha, I would suggest NCERT books for any subjects are not enough for IIT JEE. NCERT books cover all the topics as per the IIT JEE syllabus, but everything is explained in brief. Moreover, a lot of practice on numericals is required for a good rank. I would suggest you to go through your +2 level text books, and Arihant and HC Verma if possible for in depth knowledge on topics and good practice on core problem sums.
I wish you good luck!
NCERTs' are good books but unfortunately insufficient for JEE-Physics. They are good source for clearing basics and strengthening them and clearing Board examination. But JEE includes questions that needs High ordered thinking and has competitive level.
So if you want to prepare for JEE then you should refer any other good book specifically for JEE including NCERT as well. Some good refernces are:
- DC Pandey
- Resnick Halliday Krane
- HC Verma
- Arihant JEE series
They consists of previous year questions and includes good level of questions that will surely help you for preparing for JEE.
