Yes. If you're thorough with organic given in ncert it is more than enough
No just following ncert isn't enough. You see organic is not easy if you don't have your basics clear. Your basics are in class 11 i.e General Organic Chemistry and Hydrocarbons. I would say you that you should the know the main reactions and know their mechanism. Follow a separate reference book to get a better idea. Allens GOC chapter is a very good material for getting your basic concepts clear. It has a lot of examples the more you practice organic the better you get. Also don't forget to go through the NCERT back questions.
Hope this helps.
Good luck
Hello aspirant,
Thanks for contacting Careers 360.
To be frank, NCERT is not sufficient for Organic Chemistry . However all named reactions come from NCERT only. I would suggest you to study G eneral Organic Chemistry from GRB Organic Chemistry/Cengage Organic Chemistry . Then from Hydrocarbon onwards till amines, NCERT reactions are sifficient to solve atleast 70-80 percent of the organic chemistry questions asked in NEET. But please keep the GOC part strong because only then you can solve questions related to stability order, acidic strength, basic strength, mechanisms etc. but these topics are not properly dealt in NCERT Book.
For MCQ practise, purchase Organic Chemistry MCQ Book By MS Chouhan. Also practise previous year NEET questions of Organic Chemistry.
Thank You
Best Of Luck
