Hey,
Well, the syllabus for both NEET and JEE is based on the syllabus of class 11th and 12th Physics and Chemistry. However, the way the question paper is framed makes the difference. The questions for JEE Mains are far more difficult and needs intensive studies. However, the questions asked in NEET are comparatively simpler.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

Hi there,

Thank you for posting your query on our platform.

In one sentence : NO. PHYSICS AND CHEMISTRY PREPARATION FOR JEE AND NEET IS NOT AT ALL SIMILAR.

I cannot stress on the fact that you have to practice a lot in order to crack JEE advance examinations.

For JEE mains and NEET they are at almost similar level. But JEE advance is not same as NEET.

JEE advance would be more concept based than the formula based questions of NEET and JEE Mains.

Talking about Chemistry specifically, in JEE mains you'll find many theoretical and simple questions but in NEET it is not so. From physical, inorganic to organic you'll have to practice questions extensively in order to score good in NEET Chemistry section.

Talking about Physics, in NEET physics questions are usually formula based and the questions do not require you to put multiple concepts in one question. But in JEE, you'll have to solve questions keeping multiple concepts in mind, hence multiple derivations and formulas for just one question.

This is a very concised version of the difference between the preparation level of both the examinations.

For a better understanding I'd suggest you to go through previous years question papers of both the examinations. You'll understand the huge difference then.

Hope this helps.

Wishing you luck!

Yes. The syllabus is same but difficulty of questions is different. So no of questions should be practiced more to crack jee mains than neet. But no of Seats in medical is less than engineering. So both are at same difficulty in their own way

None 30th Jan, 2018

Syllabus for both the exams is almost same but there is difference in difficulty level.

Questions asked in JEE Main are difficult in comparison of Medical.

Good Luck!!
