No, it's not. You just need to have physics, chemistry and biology as compulsory subjects in 12th with at least 50% or more marks.

Yes, From the year 2017 Onwards it is made mandatory for not only Physiotherapy but all Professional Health Science courses that the student has to give NEET exam to study this courses and get admission..in college.

I have read the notification of this and i confirmed it in the official website of MUHS and DMER of Maharashtra, to give NEET Exam in order to pursue this courses like Physiotherapy, Nursing, Optometry and many more:)

But I think, it is not mandatory to CLEAR NEET entrance exam. There are many good and well renown universities in which the general eligibility criteria for pursuing Physiotherapy is to Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology). you can opt for Bachelor of Physiotherapy which is total of 4.5 years program.

I can enlist someof the well known universities for your help - Aligarh Muslim University, Lovely Professional University, Symbiosis University, Christ University etc. These universities provides extensive learning programs and exposure to the students.

Hope it helps ..

Thank you.. :)

No. Neet ug is the entrance exam for admission to mbbs and bds course in various medical colleges and medical universities.

There is separate entrance exam for physiotherapy which is conducted by individual state medical universites. It comes under paramedical.

Good luck.
