Is Neet cut off marks will increase in 2019 ?
NEET 2024: Cutoff (OBC, SC, ST & General Category)
NEET 2024 Admission Guidance: Personalised | Study Abroad
NEET 2025: Syllabus | Most Scoring concepts | NEET PYQ's (2015-24)
The NEET 2018 cutoff for Unreserved category was 119 marks out of 720, for SC/ST/OBC it was 96. However the cutoff changes every year depending upon factors like number of candidates appearing for the entrance exam, the difficulty level of the paper, the total number of seats available under state counseling for Medical Dental courses and related such. So it would be difficult to predict the cutoff range this way. This year around 13+ lakh candidates had applied for NEET. But there is no increase in the number of seats. And so nothing can be predicted regarding the cutoff range- it might go high than last year or can be less.
For this year, the cutoffs will be released along with the results by NTA in the first week of June.
The cut-offs vary every year. They are dependent on a number of factors including:
1.) Maximum marks scored in a given year.
2.) Total number of candidates who have given the exam.
3.) Number of seats available in medical colleges.
This year the cut-offs will be released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the exam conducting body, in the first week of June, along with the results.
Then only, we can get to know about any increase or decrease in the cut-offs, than last year.
Hope this helps!
Hello!
With keeping the cut offs for previous years in mind, the NEET cut off would most probably increase. But it also depends on the difficulty of the exam, the number of students appearing for it and much more. Here, I'm linking a list of previous cut offs for NEET. Hope it helps!
