From 2017 onwards, the NEET exam is now mandatory for every students if he or she wants to pursue any Professional Medical degree or course.

No, it is not necessary to appear for NEET Exam to pursue a career as a Physiotherapist. You can directly go for a BPT course in any institute. If the institute offers admission in BPT course on the basis of NEET marks then only it is necessary. There are some colleges which might take admission on the basis of 12th merit. So, it completely depends on the admission process and criteria of the institute.
