To anyone going on to this college
I am a student of NMIMS Hyderabad for law and seen certain pros and cons.
College has a great infrastructure and everything is up to the mark. Teachers are pretty hardworking, hostel facilities are great (not less than a five star hotel), campus of NMIMS Hyderabad is very huge as compared to the other campus of NMIMS. Students are well behaved and hard working as the college is very strict with its discipline, no reservation system applicable here.
You can expect all this from a good college like NMIMS which has created its own legacy in the span of 40 years. The most renowned and sound college for MBA you will find in India.
But here I said about MBA. For law, Infrastructure, teachers and all other things are very good. But as a law college, it tries best to give u the exposure but somewhere its not that successful. Law is a profession which requires lot of internships but 80% mandatory attendance makes it difficult. As of now, NMIMS Mumbai is only good for law. other than this, only Navi Mumbai and Bangalore ones are decent.
Hyderabad campus is still emerging but in the upcoming years you can expect it to be a good private university for law. But as of now, only Mumbai campus can be recomended from my side. Other than that, Navi mumbai or Banglore campus.
Plus, the campus is not there in the main Hyderabad town, its there in Jadcherla which is nearly 2 hrs away from Hyderabad. There is nothing in the surrounding area of the campus except for few Pharma Industries. so if you are someone who enjoy city life and night life, this place would not be recomended.
Placements- As of now, not even a single batch from this college got placed, but college has a tie up from many corporate firms, you can still expect to get a decent placements. Mumbai campus only gave decent or the above average placements to its students in 2019. But don't know how are the law placements going to be there in Hyderabad campus. Tie ups with the companies can help u to get a decent placements. But good law firms or other corporate firms will first prefer NLU's, Symbiosis Pune, OP Jindal, GLC Mumbai, ILS Pune, and NMIMS Mumbai for placements. Then they will come here.
So in other words, NMIMS Hyderabad is very good for MBA but okk for law, not very good. If u have no other option for any law college, this can be a good option because atleast this college has a brand value of its own. Nothing can be said about the placements as of now. Internships seems difficult because of mandatory classes but still many students manage to do it then also.
