- The candidate should hold a licence from any State Nursing Registration Council as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife, or a licence that is similar.

- The B.Sc. Nursing/B.Sc. Hons. Nursing/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing degree must be successfully completed with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 55%.

- The candidate must have completed a post-basic B.Sc. in nursing, B.Sc. nursing, or B.Sc. nursing with honours.

- Following a Basic B.Sc. in Nursing, at least one year of work experience.

- Minimum one year of work experience before or after completing a post-basic B.Sc. in nursing

These are the minimum requirements for admission in Msc nursing at AFMC. So yes nursing student from different state can also apply in this medical college for msc nursing.
