The concepts are different, since java is pure object oriented language whereas C++ is both procedural and object oriented.
The best way to learn these is to either enrol for certification courses or you can consider taking up courses on Coursera. The courses offered on Coursera are mainly offered by foreign universities and hence you get almost the same kind of exposure as compared to same things being taugh in class.
