With every passing year the JEE is becoming more and more unpredictable.
We all know what happened in the JEE Advanced 2017.
Unpredictablility at a whole new level was the highlight of the JEE board.
Coming to JEE Main, the pattern is a fixed one. But the last five years papers gave rise to a general trend that mathematics will be easier compared to physics, Chemistry being the easiest.
Students had a pre-conceived notion and mindset on how they were going to attempt the paper(I'm talking about order).
I too, went with the mindset that mathematics will be easy and physics difficult but it turned out to be the opposite.
The questions were not tough but rather lengthy and time consuming.
Physics in particular saved many who ignored NCERT. Questions from Semiconductors were extremely basic.
Chemistry especially was completely NCERT. Maybe a question or two required little more thinking. And general knowledge questions were avoided this time as opposed to 2016(candle question).
So you see, the analysis is different from that of the 2016 paper.
And again the same will hold true for JEE 2018.
Subject wise difficulties are expected to show variations.
The overall difficulty of the paper is bound to remain the same. So the order of attempting the paper should be subject to the difficulty in the actual exam.
Avoid attending the exam with a pre-conceived mindset. Confidence and mindset will do all the difference in exams like the JEE Main.
