Hello Aspirant,

First of all let me explain you the meaning of percentile, so percentile is nothing but a percentage of students scoring less than or equal to you in the particular shift, like you got 90 percentile, it means that 90% candidates appeared in your shift have scored less than or equal to you.

So it is calculated for shift wise batches, this system has been adopted to remove the partiality among candidates appearing in different shifts for the same examination because if the same examination is conducted in multiple shifts then there will definitely be some easy papers and some might be difficult as well so to remove this difference percentile system has been adopted by various organizations.
