Hello,

Your percentile is not only decided by your performance, but also on the following factors:

  • The highest marks secured by the topper. If the highest marks is 200 out of 300, then 200 is considered as 100 percentile. This highest percentile also varies for different shifts, in this case all of them are rounded off.
  • The number of students with same score as you.
  • The number of students with score greater than and less than you.
  • The no of shifts in which the exam is conducted.
  • The difficulty level of each paper in each shift,

To answer your query, the percentile is decided after all the shifts have been conducted and not by each shift alone.

Hope this helps
