4 years work experience is a good time for your to take this step and make the big move by graduating from a prestigious B-School like SOIL. If you are looking for something more socially involving and where you get direct on field exposure and job opportunities closer to the root cause then this is the right place for you.
A work experience in Manufacturing and Operations definitely is a plus as you will have a lot of insights into how the function happens at the root level and thereby you can understand the course very well. Given your experience, I would suggest taking up something closer to it as it will also boost your chances of placements and give you a higher career growth plus an advantage over your peers.
If your previous work experience involved Analytics or Finance in Operations part, undoubtedly go for it. You can also choose marketing. At the end of the day, it depends on how well you can pitch the learning you have from SOIL as an add on to the previous work experience. Look at what combination will be best for you keeping in view your long term goals.
All the best
Hey,
The Soil Institute of Management, is situated in Gurgaon. From my perspective the college seem pretty average to me as the return of investment is not upto the mark.
The average placement of the college is around 9 lakhs which seems pretty low as compared to the fees paid which is around 15-17 lakhs.
If you have better options I will suggest you to go for them instead of going for this college.
As far as the specialization is concerned you have to decide that. As telling someone else won't develop your interest in that specific field. I will suggest you to go for the syllabus once and look what you find interesting.
Hope that helps.
Thank you
