Hello Aspirant,

See Bsc. Hons. Is basically a specialisation of a
Particular subject/course / or paper
If u want to do Hons. in a particular subject (like
Physics/chemistry/zoology etc.) then only you are
allow to do higher study like masterate or b.tech

If u are interested in instrumentation then go for
bsc.physical science with chemistry .If you like to
Know about the electronics instrument and u have
already a very good knowledge about this instrument
Like Voltmeter,ammeter , power generator,and other.
It gives you theoretical and practical both studies in
this course .

So here is all the things about the both courses u can
Choose between them .

Best of luck.

Thanks for the question

Hey

Bsc in physical science with chemistry is a prog course where you study combination of subjects. In chemistry hons, you purely focus on the subject of chemistry.

It's said and believed that hons course has more scope than prog courses. If you are getting admission in chemistry hons, then go for it.

Thanks

Hello Amlan ,

The decision entirely depends on your interest and future career goals. If you are more inclined to chemistry and is sure to take up a career in core chemistry then go for Chemistry (Hons.). Instead , if you are not yet clear on which subject out of the three (phy, chem, maths) you want to choose as a career option then go for physical sciences so that you have all doors open . By the end of the course you can choose one based on your interest and career options and go for any MSc. If you are very keen on chemistry then Hons. is better also another point to note is that in hons. course the syllabus is advanced and deeper than physical science ,where the syllabus will be basic ,so if you priority is chemistry then go for hons. itself. You should also note that in physical sciences you have to deal with all three subjects at a time. Therefore, research well on the syllabus , analyse you interest and skill, think about the future career goals and decide wisely.

All the best
