Hello there,

Is Physics Galaxy 700+ Advanced Illustrations Enough for a Rank Under 3000 in JEE Advanced?

  • Yes , Physics Galaxy 700+ Advanced Illustrations is a good resource for high-level problem-solving and will help in JEE Advanced if you solve it thoroughly .

  • However, conceptual clarity and previous years’ questions (PYQs) are equally important .

  • If time is limited , focus on PYQs, NTA Abhyas, and mock tests along with Physics Galaxy .

    Additional Books You Must Do:

Physics:

  • HC Verma (Concepts of Physics) – Only for theory and some problems
  • DC Pandey (Advanced Problems) – If you need extra practice
  • Previous Year JEE Advanced Papers – Must solve at least 10 years

Chemistry:

  • Physical Chemistry: N. Awasthi (for problem-solving)
  • Organic Chemistry: MS Chouhan (for advanced questions)
  • Inorganic Chemistry: NCERT + VK Jaiswal

Mathematics:

  • Cengage or Blackbook (Vikas Gupta) for Advanced Problems
  • A Das Gupta for conceptual clarity
  • Previous Years' JEE Advanced Papers – Essential

Strategy to Get Under 3000 Rank:

  • Focus 80% on PYQs + Mock Tests and 20% on new problems .
  • Revise NCERT for Chemistry thoroughly.
  • Analyze mistakes in tests and improve weak areas.
  • Solve time-bound mock tests regularly .

Final Tip: If you don’t have much time, prioritize PYQs, mock tests, and Physics Galaxy. Avoid too many books and focus on accuracy and speed.

Also I am a bit sceptical about directly jumping onto advanced pyqs as all these times I have been focusing on jee mains. I don't have much preparation background in advanced so I don't think I would be able to solve the questions on my own so is it okay to see the solutions and solve along as solving by my own will again take a lot of time and I will also revise them frequently. Is that a good strategy?
