Is Principles of Physics good for people who are just starting out Physics(if they know Calculus)?
Principles of Physics by Resnick & Haliday is one of the classic books for those who want to built a strong base of Physics. Now, the book is quite good and it have the chapters in the book which deals with the necessary mathematical tools such as Vector & Calculus. So if you wish to go for the book, then without any doubt you can study from the book. Before starting the book, I would recommend you that you should have patience as there are very long descriptive explanations which in times may feel hectic. But if you read the text well, then the understanding about the physics you will achieve isn't comparable to any other books.
Wish you a great eve!
