Hello,

According to what I understood from the question is that you're a higher secondary school student interested in pharmacy, a little conflicted with the subjects.

Well, congratulations for having pharmacy as one of the interest of studies in your life. Pharmacy is indeed a wide subject full of knowledge,  you'll have fun studying.

Before getting back to the query,  let me tell you about what I did. I didnt study maths during my 8th and 9th standard. I was forced to chose commerce. I wasn't a great student back then, neither am I now (jokes apart). I was very insecure and somehow wanted to proof my worth, changed schools, challenged the new school director right on the second meeting with him. Managed to score above 75% in the subject. He challenged me to continue with the subject for the next two years. I, being me and trying to proof myself, accepted it.

After two years, I realized I don't want to continue with maths, and I want something else. I chose pharmacy, I didn't know about it until I saw the colleges offering it. Got selected in one of the glam sham colleges of the city.

Now, I was kind of proud that I did maths in my two years and I don't have to even study zoology or botany to choose a science field.  I was stupid to think that way. College started, syllabus was handed over. I was shocked to see Remedial Biology as a subject. Back in school days, we had remedial classes for weak students so my mind started flipping back wondering if I'm the only one whose got it as a subject. I was super stupid and was scared to talk to anyone, I told you right, I'm insecure? Well, that was the case, so somehow, I dared myself and asked a person next to me if they have rem bio too, turns out they have rem maths. I was like, " why do we have different subjects when we belong to the same year".

Let me clear it now, those who studied science (biology,  physics,  chemistry) had Remedial Mathematics to cover up for the two years they missed and vice versa.

So, whatever minor (subject) you choose during higher secondary, maths or science, it wouldn't matter, because the first year of pharmacy will only be a brush up and detailed version of what you've studied and missed.

I hope this kind of will assist you with your query.

Heads up. *insert a thumbsup* (however, I prefer Pepsi though * laughs at my own silly joke*).

( Apology for taking up so much of time and blabbering about my life, although I hope it explains).

Edit: You'll need to score in your entrance exam. I guess, I forgot to mention about the entrance exam. And yes, you can go either in Pharm. D. or B.Pharm. The admission process is same except for the years studies and a bit of scope.
