Hi aspirant!!
Yes, NCERT is important book for your basic but if you ask me that you want to prepare for jee main then ncert is not enough you have to have some other books for you . I'm suggesting you the ms chauhan for organic and modern approach for chemical calculation mukerjee. And offcourse previous year question papers will definitely help you .

Hope this help
Thank you
No, after JEE Mains 2018, I dont believe you should trust your preparation by only studying NCERT. Of course, you need to first complete NCERT Syllabus in Chemistry, which will perhaps help you with fundamentals, but you need to study and refer more material for expertise in the subjects. I would like to suggest the following material for a complete preparation in Chemistry
1. Arihant Chemistry Handbook
2. MS Chauhan Organic Chemistry
3. Resonance Rank Booster JEE Mains Chemistry
4. Arihant Previous Years Book
5. P. Bahadur Numerical Chemistry
6. OP Tandon Organic Chemistry
It might no be sufficient for physics amd maths but for chemistry ncert is the most important thing. You can practice previous years questions also to gain some confidence. But for jee advanced there are few extra topics that you do not get in ncert's. But fo jee mains it us definitely sufficient.
