Is Robotics a good course after 12th for B-Tech.

Yes it's a very good branch and a part of mechanical engineering.
But robotics is very compressed branch and gives you very fewer knowledge as compared to other branches of Btech course
And this creates less opportunity in the field of robotics engineering when you choose it in btech .
So better you go for mechanical in btech and choose as one of the specification as robotics in your mtech for better scope and opportunity

Dear
This career not only fix for robot or their functions but now days robotics Engineering is using in other domains like , production, medical treatment and equipment , Automobiles workshops , defense equipment and research . This field is extremely challenging and full of opportunities .But according to me you should plan for B.tech mechanical in B.tech level then in M.tech level you may choose this branch for diversify your knowledge and skills.
All the best

Dear Bhagwat
Just want to share some information, if you're really interested in that. Then you opt Robotics.
Career In Robotics Engineering
Are you fascinated by Robots and want to know how they work? What are the mechanisms behind Robots?
If the answer is Yes then you can explore your career in theRobotics Engineering.
Robotics Engineeringis a field of engineering which deals with the construction, design, application and operation of robots. Robotics Engineering is an interdisciplinary branch of electrical engineering & mechanical engineering.
A professional designer who is responsible for creating robots and robotic systems is called aRobotics Engineer.
What are Robots?
Robots are those machines which are able to execute the duties that humans are either unable or prefer not to complete. Some robots are manufactured to do jobs which are hazardous to people like exploring mines, defusing bombs, etc.
The word Robot derives from the Czech word robota, which means forced work or labor. The mechanism behind robots is called Robotics.
Robotics research engineers design robotic systems and research methods to manufacture them in a cost effective manner.
The fully autonomous robots were appeared in the second half of the 20
th
century. The Isaac Asimov a science fiction writer created his Three Laws of Robotics in the year 1942.
A robotics engineer is required to have knowledge in mechanical engineering, kinematics and dynamics, electrical and electronics engineering, control systems and software engineering.
And from view in future, by opting this course, you will have good life too.
