Hi komal,
I know one of mine who joined BAMS course without Sanskrit as a language in 11th and 12th std as preferred for this course. Preferred not a mandate. Sanskrit is a mandatory subject in the first year obviously because its Indian ayurveda we are talking about and its our heritage and if you do a bit of research in internet about it and if you know Hindi which I assume you do you will find it a bit easier to tackle ...so happy learning!
Hope this helps
Let us know if you have any other query.
It is not mandatory to have Sanskrit as a subject in class 11th and 12th if you wish to get admission in BAMS undergraduate course.
But Sanskrit is a mandatory subject in BAMS first year. So it would be very helpful to you, if you have some prior knowledge about Sanskrit.

Hello Komal,
It is not compulsory to study Sanskrit subject in class 12th to get admission in BAMS course. But BAMS does include Sanskrit as a language to study in the syllabus.
Sanskrit is compulsory subject only for 1st year. But still there are Shloka's which is written in Sanskrit that you have to learn from 1st to last year in other subjects.
Thank you
