See both the colleges are good and they have their own uniqueness. But if you've to choose one among two, and as per my personal choice, I'll recommend you to prefer SRM over VIT. Reason - both have got almost same placement and internship opportunities as almost same companies come here. But VIT mess food and hostel life is not so well known as it doesn't has a good infrastructure. So you can choose SRM Iver VIT. Also the teaching faculty and facilities can be considered almost same in both these colleges.

The fees for btech chemical engineering in SRM UNIVERSITY will be 2.53 lakhs per annum.
